Basilica Monday Notre Dame University
Looking for one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the area? Monday March 2nd is Basilica Monday at Notre Dame University. Basilica Monday is when future brides and grooms will be able to start reserving the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Lady Chapel or Log Chapel on the campus of Notre Dame University located in South Bend, Indiana. Reservations must be made by phone (574) 631-4288 after 8 a.m. on Monday, March 2nd. Wedding times at Notre Dame will be Friday’s at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. during summer months. Saturdays are also available at 9:00 am, 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (Weddings will not be held on campus during Notre Dame home football games or other major University events.)
If you are planning on having a smaller wedding you might consider Notre Dame University’s Log Chapel. Father Sorin and his brothers lived in the chapel while they were establishing Notre Dame University. The original Chapel was built in 1831 and was re-built do to fire in 1906. The log chapel is the perfect venue for a small wedding and definitely has a war cozy personable feel.
